Dog Christmas cards are lovely pet Christmas cards to send to family and friends who love dogs.
Well, after making a Cat Christmas card for my ground floor neighbor, I think I should make a dog Christmas greeting card for Catherine, my other neighbor. Catherine who lives right below me loves dogs.
So a Christmas card; maybe with a pug image would be just right for her.
Here’s one I created with my Penny Black’s dogs rubber stamp. It’s aptly titled “Circus Act”. Five dogs standing on top of one another.
So cute! Have a look!
Dog Christmas Cards : How to Make Them!
Card making Supplies Used
Tall blank card – white colour card stock
Star rubber stamp (I used one from the Hero Arts clear stamp set)
Dogs rubber stamp – Penny Black – Circle Act
Fine black marker – Permanent ink
Watercolour
Watercolour brushes
Love from all of us – Message stamp by Hero Arts
Detailed Explanation of How I Create this Greeting Card
I stamped the dog rubber stamp image with black archival dye ink on a piece of white cardstock. Then found a star rubber stamp (from a Hero Arts clear stamp set) and used the same black ink to stamp above the head of the top dog image.
I then added a Christmas ornament stamped image to the top of the card and also stamped ‘love from all of us’ – another Hero Arts clear stamp message – to the left of the dogs Circle Act’s image. After that, I used my Pigma Micron 01 pen, a fine black permanent marker to draw a frame on the card around the dogs image.
Finally, I used watercolour for the whole handmade greeting card with red as the dominant colour.
Then after I finished this dog Christmas greeting card, I realised that I have quite a few family members who are dog owners, just love anything to do with dogs and would love to receive a Christmas greeting card with a dog(s) design.
After counting, I think I will need to make at least another five more dog Christmas greeting cards this year.
So off to replicate more of these Christmas greetings for those dog lover friends.
Hope this handmade card design help to jumpstart your Christmas card making and give you some inspiration to make some for your canine loving friends or family members.
